Itinerary
Day 1: Manali – Whispering Rocks – Siyander Thatch (3350m)
Distance: Approx. 5-6 km | Trek Duration: 4-5 Hours
Pickup from Manali and drive to Whispering Rocks, a few kilometers beyond Palchan on the Manali-Rohtang road.
Begin the trek with a gradual ascent through Beas Nallah, passing agricultural fields and dense deodar, fir, and spruce forests.
Cross Khanora Thatch and Maple Thatch, known for their lush surroundings and scenic views.
Arrive at Siyander Thatch, encircled by dwarf rhododendron and oak groves.
Witness a panoramic view of the mighty peaks of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges, including Hanuman Tibba, Seven Sisters, and Friendship Peak.
Overnight stay in tents at Siyander Thatch.
Day 2: Siyander Thatch – Bhrigu Lake – Siyander Thatch
Distance: Approx. 10 km round trip | Trek Duration: 6-7 Hours
Begin the day with a 1000m ascent through alpine pastures and rock fields left by retreating glaciers.
Reach Bhrigu Lake, tucked away in a bowl and surrounded by snowfields. Marvel at the holy cairn atop the mound near the lake.
Spend time exploring and enjoying the tranquility of the lake.
Descend back to Siyander Thatch for an overnight stay in tents.
Day 3: Siyander Thatch – Gulaba – Manali
Distance: Approx. 6-7 km | Trek Duration: 4-5 Hours
Descend along the ridge, crossing the Khanora and Kothi Nallahs.
Traverse lush meadows and forests and enjoy spotting wildlife, including Monal pheasants.
Reach Gulaba, where the trek ends.
Drive back to Manali.
