Day 1: Chandigarh to Shimla-Narkanda
Distance: 175 km | Drive Time: 6-7 hours via NH5

Stop for lunch and explore the colonial charm of Shimla with key attractions like The Ridge, Mall Road, and Christ Church. Day 2: Narkanda to Sarahan
Distance: 100 km | Drive Time: 4 hours via NH5 and Jeori-Sarahan road
Start your day with a visit to Hatu Peak, where the Hatu Temple offers panoramic views of the Dhauladhar and Kinnaur-Garhwal mountain ranges. Next, drive towards Sarahan (2,800 meters), a serene village surrounded by lush green valleys. Day 3: Sarahan to Chitkul (Kinnaur)
Distance: 106 km | Drive Time: 5 hours via NH5 and Karcham-Sangla-Chitkul Road
After breakfast, revisit the Bhimakali Temple, a key pilgrimage site, and enjoy the striking views of Srikhand Mahadev Peak. You may also visit a nearby bird sanctuary, a haven for Himalayan birds. Drive towards Chitkul, the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibet border. This picturesque village, known for its charming houses and scenic meadows, provides an idyllic escape. Day 4: Chitkul to Kalpa
Distance: 62 km | Drive Time: 3 hours via Chitkul-Sangla-Karcham road and NH5
On this day, visit the famous Chitkul Mata Temple before heading back to Sangla. Explore the ancient Bering Nag Temple and Kamru Fort, offering insights into the rich cultural history of the region. Day 5: Kalpa to Nako
Distance: 110 km | Drive Time: 4-5 hours
Start your journey deeper into the Spiti Valley. Drive along the Indo-Tibet Highway, passing through Khab where the Spiti and Satluj rivers converge. Arrive at Nako, a quaint village famous for its serene Nako Lake. Spend the evening exploring this picturesque location, surrounded by mountains. Overnight stay in Nako.
Day 6: Nako to Kaza
Distance: 110 km | Drive Time: 4-5 hours
Continue your journey towards Kaza, visiting Gue Village en route, home to a 500-year-old preserved mummy. Next, visit the historic Tabo Monastery, also known as the "Ajanta of the Himalayas" for its exquisite murals and artifacts. Another stop is at Dhankar Monastery, perched dramatically on a cliff overlooking the Spiti River. If time permits, take a short trek to Dhankar Lake. Arrive in Kaza by evening for an overnight stay.
Day 7: Kaza (Exploration of Langza, Hikkim, Komik)
Distance: 60 km (round trip)
Spend the day exploring some of the most fascinating villages in the Spiti Valley. Langza is known for its fossils, while Hikkim is home to the worldโs highest post office. Komik, one of the highest motorable villages in the world, offers stunning views and a peaceful environment. Visit monasteries and enjoy the unspoiled beauty of these remote Himalayan villages. Return to Kaza for an overnight stay.
Day 8: Kaza to Losar (via Key Monastery, Kibber, and Chicham Bridge)
Distance: 58 km | Drive Time: 3-4 hours
This day is dedicated to exploring the spiritual heart of Spiti. Visit Key Monastery, one of the largest and most famous monasteries in the region. Continue to Kibber Village, known for its wildlife and high-altitude settlements. Donโt miss the Chicham Bridge, the highest suspension bridge in Asia. Proceed to Losar, a quaint village nestled at a high altitude, for an overnight stay.
Day 9: Losar to Sissu (via Chandratal Lake and Kunzum Pass)
Distance: 140 km | Drive Time: 6-7 hours
Get ready for one of the most scenic drives of the tour. Cross Kunzum Pass (15,059 feet), offering jaw-dropping views of the surrounding peaks. En route, visit Chandratal Lake, often called the โMoon Lakeโ due to its crescent shape. Spend some time at this stunning alpine lake before continuing your journey through Chota Dara and Chatru. Day 10: Sissu to Manali

Begin your day by driving through the magnificent Atal Tunnel, one of the longest road tunnels in the world. The tunnel offers breathtaking views of the Lahaul Valley and leads to the charming hill station of Manali. Spend the rest of the day relaxing or exploring the local market in Manali. Day 11: Manali Local Sightseeing

Day 12: Manali to Chandigarh
Distance: 310 km | Drive Time: 7-8 hours
After breakfast, embark on the final leg of your journey, driving back to Chandigarh through scenic mountain roads. Arrive in Chandigarh for your onward departure, marking the end of your Spiti Valley Circuit adventure.
