Tour Itinerary
 
Day 1: Gushaini to Rolla (8 km Trek)
Begin your journey from the small village of Gushaini, situated on the banks of the Tirthan River, one of the few rivers in Himachal known for its trout population. Trek 8 kilometers upstream to Rolla (2,100 meters), where you’ll stay in a forest hut for the night. Experience the serenity of the Tirthan Valley as you trek along the riverbanks.
 
Day 2: Rolla to Rakhundi Top (Trek)
On day two, the trek leaves the Tirthan River and climbs towards Rakhundi Top (3,622 meters). You will crest two ridge lines before arriving at Ghumtarao (3,500 meters), a lush green pasture ideal for camping. Spend the night under the stars, surrounded by alpine beauty.
 
Day 3: Rakhundi to Dhela Thatch (Trek)
Trek across picturesque alpine pastures adorned with juniper and dwarf rhododendron as you ascend toward Dhela Thatch (3,737 meters). This scenic campsite offers magnificent views of the Khandedar Massif. If you’re lucky, you might spot rare wildlife such as musk deer, the Himalayan Monal, and the Western Tragopan. Camp at Dhela Thatch, where a large trekker's hut and fresh water are available.
 
Day 4: Dhela Thatch to Shakti (Trek)
Descend through thick forests filled with spruce, fir, cedar, walnut, maple, and horse chestnut trees. Cross the Sainj River at Shakti (2,200 meters), where you'll set up camp next to the river. The Shakti campsite is equipped with toilets and piped water, surrounded by dense sea-buckthorn groves. Enjoy a peaceful night beside the serene Sainj River.
 
Day 5: Shakti to Neulli (21 km Trek)
The final day of your trek is the longest but mostly level, following the Sainj River through the Sainj Wildlife Sanctuary. The 21-kilometer trek offers plenty of opportunities to collect driftwood and admire the river’s beauty. Reach Neulli, the roadhead, where you can catch taxis or buses to Aut on the NH 21 highway. From here, continue your journey back to Kullu or Manali.
