Tour Itinerary
 
Day 1: Manali to Chandratal Lake
Begin your journey from Manali, driving through scenic landscapes toward Chandratal Lake. It’s a full day's drive, so make sure to pack your gear and provisions. Upon arrival, set up camp on the shores of the lake, a tranquil and stunning body of water with a circumference of 4 kilometers. Spend the night camping under the stars by the shimmering lake.
 
Day 2: Chandratal Lake to Topkogongma (Trek)
After a hearty breakfast, start your 20-kilometer trek along the Chandra River. Hike past the Samudra Tapu, a vast riverine island that turns into a massive block of ice in the winter. Reach Topkogongma, where you’ll camp next to a stream. Experience the serenity of nature at an elevation of 15,500 feet as you rest for the night.
 
Day 3: Topkogongma to Baralacha Pass (Trek)
Begin the day early, crossing an icy stream at 7 am and continuing the trek toward Topkoyongma, another glacial stream. Reach this point before noon, as crossing after that becomes difficult. Trek through lush pastures and take in the sight of the magnificent Baralacha Glacier on your left, the source of the Chandra River. After 6 hours of trekking, reach Baralacha Pass at 16,500 feet, where you’ll be picked up for your return to Manali. Overnight camping near the pass.
 
Day 4: Baralacha Pass to Manali
On the final day, drive back from Baralacha Pass to Manali, enjoying the breathtaking scenery as you descend from the high-altitude pass. Your unforgettable Chandratal Lake Trek comes to an end as you return to the comfort of Manali.
